Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has allegedly expressed interest in the vacant manager's job at Crystal Palace.
The Magpies boss, who spent time at Palace during his playing career, is weighing up the pros and cons of jumping ship, according to The Mirror.
Palace chairman Steve Parish, who has publicly stated that he is seeking a manager with links to the club, is said to have been informed of Pardew's interest by a mediator.
Former Stoke boss Tony Pulis was thought to be the frontrunner to fill the post, but Chris Coleman and Martin O'Neill have been linked with the job since.
Pardew made 130 appearances for Palace during his playing days.
