Everton striker Cenk Tosun expresses his desire to prove himself at Goodison Park and earn his spot back in Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI.

Everton striker Cenk Tosun has confirmed that he is keen to stay and fight for his place at Goodison Park after his loan spell at Crystal Palace was cut short.

The Turkey international scored once in five Premier League appearances for Palace before suffering a cruciate ligament injury in March.

Attacking duo Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have impressed for Everton this season, but Tosun has expressed his desire to win back his spot in Carlo Ancelotti's team.

Speaking to Fanatik, Tosun said: "I have another two years remaining on my Everton contract.

"I want to prove myself. Everton are a massive club and make big transfers every year. There is a lot of competition. I want to make a full recovery, return to 100% and get myself back in the team.

"If I win my place back in the side I want to stay here. Otherwise another loan could be on the cards. But my priority is to stay at Everton and be a success here."

The 28-year-old has amassed 10 goals in 51 appearances for the Toffees since arriving from Besiktas in 2018.
