Bordeaux have been knocked out of the Coupe de France at the last-32 stage by fifth-tier side FA Ile Rousse Monticello on penalties.
The visitors were sporting a fairly strong side on the island of Corsica but couldn't find the net in 120 minutes of play before going down 4-3 on spot kicks.
Monticello scored their first four penalties before the last one was missed, giving Bordeaux the chance to take the shootout to sudden death. However, Ludovic Sane couldn't convert to spake wild scenes among the home players.
The next round takes place on Tuesday, February 11 and Wednesday, February 12.
