Fulham have been rocked by the news that Damien Duff will miss the club's relegation battle after being ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The 35-year-old has been sidelined with a knee injury since the FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United last month, and coach Felix Magath confirmed the Irishman's prolonged absence.
He told reporters: "We expect Damien Duff will not play again this season because of a knee injury that happened three weeks ago."
Duff, whose contract at Craven Cottage expires this summer, joins the likes of Fernando Amorebieta and Scott Parker on Magath's injury list ahead of Saturday's crucial clash with fellow strugglers Cardiff City in South Wales.
The Cottagers sit rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, four points adrift of safety.
