Lewis Holtby: 'Fulham 'must stop conceding'

Lewis Holtby believes that if Fulham can stop conceding goals they have the quality to stay up.

Fulham's on-loan attacking midfielder Lewis Holtby has admitted that his current side must stop conceding goals if they are to get themselves away from the bottom of the Premier League table.

The Whites lost 3-2 to Liverpool through a last-minute Steven Gerrard penalty, but Holtby remains confident that there is enough ability in the squad for Fulham to pull themselves clear.

"The belief is always there," he told Sky Sports News. "We have to be mentally strong and that is the key to getting out of the drop zone. There is enough. We have got the quality to stay up but we need to get some points.

"We need to be solid at the back because we are conceding too many goals and that is a problem. We conceded two in the last game, three last night, and that is too many."

Fulham's next game is a week on Saturday away to West Bromwich Albion.
