Preview: Fulham vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole previews Wednesday's Premier League clash between Fulham and Liverpool at Craven Cottage.

Fulham will attempt to build on their point at Old Trafford when they welcome an in-form Liverpool side to Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening.

Darren Bent's late equaliser secured the Cottagers a share of the spoils against Manchester United at the weekend, but they remain rooted to the bottom of the table, four points from safety.

The London outfit also enter the match with the worst home record in the league having won just three of their 12 matches, losing eight times in the process.

Liverpool, meanwhile, enter the fixture off the back of a 5-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield. That result consolidated fourth position in the table and kept them in the hunt for the title.

The Reds have won their last three meetings with Fulham, scoring 11 goals in the process. They have also dominated the head-to-head record with 15 wins from 25 Premier League fixtures between the pair.

The home side are still expected to be without January signing Kostas Mitroglou, although the former Olympiacos forward reportedly has an outside chance of being named on the bench.

However, Scott Parker and Bent are both expected to return to the first XI after entering as second-half substitutes against Manchester United.

Liverpool will be without the services of Daniel Agger as the centre-back continues his recovery from a calf injury, while injuries to Mamadou Sakho, Glen Johnson, Lucas Leiva and Jose Enrique means that boss Brendan Rodgers could name an unchanged XI from the Arsenal clash.
