Fulham's Konstantinos Mitroglou scores brace for development side

Konstantinos Mitroglou scores two goals for Fulham's development side in a 5-3 win over Aston Villa.

Fulham's club-record signing Konstantinos Mitroglou stepped up his match fitness levels by scoring twice for the club's development side this afternoon.

The Greek arrived at Craven Cottage last month with a slight knee injury that has prevented him from making his senior debut.

However, he turned out in a 5-3 win against Aston Villa's youngsters, against whom he bagged a brace but was denied a hat-trick when he saw a second-half effort hit the woodwork.

The 25-year-old will not feature against Liverpool tonight, but he could be included in the squad that faces West Bromwich Albion a week on Saturday.
