Danny Murphy, Niall Quinn among five helping Fulham find new manager

Danny Murphy, Niall Quinn, Brian McBride, David Daly and Huw Jennings will help Fulham chairman Shahid Khan pick a new manager for the club.

Fulham chairman Shahid Khan has revealed that he has put together a five-man committee to help him find a new manager for the club.

Former captains Danny Murphy and Brian McBride, along with ex-Sunderland striker Niall Quinn, academy boss Huw Jennings and director David Daly will aid Khan in the search to replace Felix Magath, who was sacked earlier this month.

"I've got the right five men to help us find the right man for Fulham," Khan said in a statement on Fulham's website.

"They each bring something similar, and yet unique, to the search. They understand what we want to achieve and they're committed to the process. And they very much respect Fulham.

They know this is a special job for a manager and they want to play a role in making sure we get this right for everyone who plays for Fulham or loves the club."

Caretaker boss Kit Symons, who led the club to their first win of the season at Birmingham City on Saturday, is currently the odds-on favourite to land the job permanently.
