Fulham are poised to rival Crystal Palace to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie, according to a report.

The Nigeria international has been looking for a move away from The Hawthorns, having found his first-team opportunities limited.

The Eagles were hoping to land the 31-year-old but the deal has taken longer than anticipated, and now Martin Jol's side are ready to swoop in, reports The Mirror.

Odemwingie has been left out of the Baggies' squad for their pre-season tour of Germany.
