Half-Time Report: Thomas Muller limps off in goalless half between Spain and Germany

Thomas Muller limps off during a goalless first half between Spain and Germany in Vigo.

An injury to Thomas Muller was the main talking point of a goalless first half between much-changed Spain and Germany sides in Vigo this evening.

The Bayern Munich star collided with Sergio Ramos in the early stages of the friendly and eventually limped off on 20 minutes after failing in his attempts to continue.

Muller's withdrawal weakened a Germany team that was already missing several stars, but it was still the world champions who came closest to breaking the deadlock.

Mario Gotze saw a firm volley well saved by Iker Casillas, Sebastian Rudy drilled a 15-yard shot over the crossbar and Juan Bernat nearly found his own net with a miscued clearance on the stroke of the break.

Playing at his home ground, Celta Vigo striker Nolito had Spain's best chance when he turned Antonio Rudiger on the edge of the box before curling a shot which brought a good stop out of Ron-Robert Zieler.
