Former West Ham United boss Alan Curbishley says that he is available and would be open to discussing a move to Ipswich Town to become the club's new manager.

Former West Ham United manager Alan Curbishley has revealed that he would talk to Ipswich Town over becoming their new boss.

The Championship outfit are considering their coaching options after parting company with Paul Jewell earlier this week.

While Curbishley has claimed that he has not been in contact with the Tractor Boys, the ex-Charlton Athletic coach has admitted that he would be open to discussing the possibility of moving to Portman Road.

"I am amazed when you look at the betting and I am up there with the frontrunners," Curbishley told Sky Sports News.

"They have to take their time, sift through the people that are available and come up with the right answer. I am available, obviously, and if they want to talk to me, I would talk to them."

Meanwhile, former England international and Newcastle United boss Alan Shearer has also been linked with the vacancy.
