Giorgio Chiellini: Marco Reus goal was "unfortunate moment"

Juventus centre-back Giorgio Chiellini reflects on his slip that allowed Marco Reus to score an away goal for Borussia Dortmund.

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has described his error that resulted in Marco Reus's goal last night as an "unfortunate moment".

Carlos Tevez put hosting Juve in front in the 13th minute, but a slip by Chiellini five minutes later presented a chance to Borussia Dortmund playmaker Reus, who made no mistake.

However, the Italian centre-back's blushes were somewhat spared by Alvaro Morata's winning strike ahead of the return leg in Germany.

Reflecting on his mistake, Chiellini told Sky Italia: "When I saw Reus running through on goal, I was begging for him to miss. There was no other alternative. It was an unfortunate moment, but it happens."

Vice-captain Chiellini joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2005.
