Nigel Pearson: 'We need to find a positive result'

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson insists that his side need to end their eight-game run without a win as soon as possible to get their season back on track.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has admitted that his side need to a find a positive result to get their season back on track.

The Foxes are without a win in eight games in the Premier League and dropped to the bottom of the table following their defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Pearson's men have fared well against the top teams in the division, and he is hopeful that his side can galvanise themselves at the King Power Stadium against Liverpool.

He told reporters: "We need to find a way of winning again, whether it's against a big side or a side similar in statue to our own. All the players were up for the game against Sunderland, who are a very decent side and got a very good result against Chelsea.

"It's a little bit dangerous to suggest the players aren't up for games. Players have been up for the vast majority of our games. We're looking forward to this one and I don't see any reason to go into it with anything other than a positive mindset.

"We're in a very difficult run, there's no getting away from that. We find ourselves at the bottom but things remain pretty tight. The players have been good in training and hopefully we can get the right sort of performance to get us out of this run."

Leicester face off against Liverpool later today.
