Leicester City boss Claude Puel hints that forward Islam Slimani could spend the second half of the campaign on loan at another club.

Leicester City boss Claude Puel has suggested that he could allow Islam Slimani to leave the King Power Stadium on loan for the rest of the season.

The Foxes are well stocked for attacking players, and Puel has already strengthened his first-team squad with the signing of Fousseni Diabate from Gazelec Ajaccio.

Slimani is one of several players to be linked with a transfer away from the Foxes, and Puel has admitted that the Algerian international may be given permission to play elsewhere for the next four months.

At a press conference, the 56-year-old said: "I have said since the beginning that we have a lot of strikers. We need to make a good balance of the team.

"We will see if some player can have game-time at other clubs. But we have to discuss with these players."

Slimani has made seven starts and 10 substitute appearances in all competitions this season, although just two starts have come in the Premier League.
