Salomon Kalou struck on 26 minutes to give the hosts the lead before he doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time with a powerful drive into the top corner.

Marko Basa made it 3-0 moments after the break when he headed in Ronny Rodelin's corner.

Cedric Kante and Vincent Nogueira both pulled goals back for Sochaux with five minutes to play before Nogueira fired in again in the 87th minute.
