Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

Liverpool will hope to secure their third Champions League win on the bounce when they travel to Atletico Madrid for Tuesday's Group B encounter.

The Reds produced a five-star performance to thrash Porto 5-1 last time out, as Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino netted braces while Sadio Mane also got in on the act.

All three players were on the scoresheet again in the weekend's 5-0 thrashing of Watford in the Premier League, but the Reds are not without their injury concerns ahead of their trip to Madrid.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Thiago Alcantara suffered a calf injury against Crystal Palace last month and was not fit to face Watford at the weekend. Klopp has admitted that he "does not know" when Thiago will be able to make his comeback, with an appearance this week therefore highly unlikely.

Harvey Elliott

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Harvey Elliott continues to recover from his serious ankle injury and is not expected back until the spring at the very earliest.

Curtis Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Man United)

Curtis Jones returned from international duty with a minor groin problem and has been ruled out of this game, but Klopp hopes to have him back in time for Sunday's battle with Manchester United.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
