James McArthur "very disappointed" with Crystal Palace defeat

Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur admits that his side are "very disappointed" to have conceded four times at home during their 4-2 defeat to Liverpool.

Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur has admitted that his side are "very disappointed" to have fallen to a 4-2 home defeat at the hands of Liverpool this evening.

Alan Pardew's side twice came from behind in a frantic first half, with McArthur scoring both goals, before eventually going into the break trailing 3-2.

Roberto Firmino wrapped up the win for Liverpool in the second half, leaving McArthur unhappy following a third straight Premier League defeat.

"It's a disappointing result. Probably a good game for the neutral. We are very disappointed with ourselves conceding four goals at home," he told BT Sport.

"We tried to get up the pitch more in the second half and put them under pressure. In the first half we retreated a bit too much."

The defeat leaves Palace 12th in the Premier League table, just four points clear of the relegation zone.
