Team News: Daniel Sturridge starts for much-changed Liverpool

As speculation mounts over his future, Daniel Sturridge leads Liverpool's attack away at Swansea City.

Jurgen Klopp has opted to ring the changes for Liverpool's trip to Swansea City this afternoon, in which Daniel Sturridge is reinstated to the starting lineup.

The striker was left on the bench for Thursday night's 1-0 loss to Villarreal in the Europa League, which sparked rumours of unrest between player and manager.

However, the frontman is involved at the Liberty Stadium, with Roberto Firmino left out altogether.

Goalkeeper Danny Ward has come in for Simon Mignolet between the posts, while there is also a Premier League debut for 18-year-old Spanish midfielder Pedro Chirivella.

The Reds have also only named six substitutes for the encounter because defender Connor Randall was forced to withdraw from the squad this morning with a virus.

As for hosting Swansea, head coach Francesco Guidolin has made two alterations, which has seen Jordi Amat and Jefferson Montero come in at the expense of Federico Fernandez and Leroy Fer.

Italian striker Alberto Paloschi will also play no part because of a hamstring complaint.

Swansea City: Fabianski; Rangel, Amat, Williams, Taylor; Britton, Cork; Sigurdsson, Routledge, Montero; Ayew
Subs: Nordfeldt, Naughton, Fernandez, Ki, Fulton, Barrow, Gomis

Liverpool: Ward; Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Smith; Stewart, Chirivella; Ibe, Ojo, Coutinho; Sturridge
Subs: Mignolet, Benteke, Lallana, Lucas, Brannagan, Teixeira
