Harry Redknapp confirms that Queens Park Rangers are trying to sign Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi on a loan deal.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that the club are interested in signing Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi on a loan basis.

Reports emerged last weekend claiming that QPR have made their interest known to the Reds, who are said to be open to parting with the 24-year-old on a temporary basis.

"I am interested in trying to loan Assaidi from Liverpool, but I'm not quite sure where we're at with that one at the moment," BBC Sport quotes Redknapp as saying.

Assaidi has made just 12 appearances for the Merseyside outfit since joining from Heerenveen last summer.
