Report: Barcelona scout Cameron Brannagan

A report claims that Spanish champions Barcelona are interested in signing Liverpool's 19-year-old midfielder Cameron Brannagan.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Cameron Brannagan.

The 19-year-old, who was born in Manchester, has been at Liverpool for the last 10 years and has made six first-team appearances for the Premier League club this season.

According to Sport, Barcelona have watched the teenager on a number of occasions for Liverpool's Under-21 team this season and were also impressed when the Reds faced Barcelona in the UEFA Youth League.

Brannagan signed a first-team contract with Liverpool in 2013, but he is yet to appear in the Premier League this season and it is understood that Barcelona could tempt the England Under-20 international to Spain.

Two of Brannagan's six Liverpool appearances this season have come in the Europa League.
