Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has claimed that beating Manchester United is a necessity in order to stay in the Premier League title race.
Spurs will take on the Red Devils, who are hunting for a Champions League spot, at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino's side dropped two points against Liverpool on Saturday and fell seven points behind league leaders Leicester City following the Foxes' 1-0 win over Southampton the following day.
Should Leicester win four of their remaining six league games, then they will lift the English crown regardless of the results from title rivals.
Kane, though, believes that his team are still in the hunt, but only if they overcome United this weekend.
"Of course [we're still in the title race], anything can still happen," the London Evening Standard quotes Kane as saying. "Leicester would be doing very well to win every game from now until the end of the season.
"We have just got to do what we can and now we have to focus on Man United. We're looking forward to it, but basically we have to get a win."
Spurs are unbeaten in their last four league games.
