Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke believes that the legacy left by Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford will never be surpassed.

The Scot announced he will retire at the end of the season after securing his 13th Premier League title with the Red Devils.

Yorke, who played under Ferguson from 1998 to 2002, feels that the 71-year-old is one of a kind and will be greatly missed in the world of football.

He told The Sun: "He has left a legacy that will continue for a very long time. There will never be anyone like him.

"Him retiring is a loss not just to Manchester United but to world football because I genuinely believe there has never been anyone like him in the game as a whole.

"He has not just been the best manager in the Premier League but the best manager in the world."

Ferguson's last game as United manager will be against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns next week.
