Carlo Ancelotti: 'Angel di Maria leaving Real Madrid'

Carlo Ancelotti confirms that reported Manchester United target Angel di Maria is leaving Real Madrid.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Angel di Maria has decided to leave the club.

Reports last night claimed that the Argentine winger had accepted an offer from Manchester United, who are believed to be prepared to pay around £50m for the winger.

When Speaking to reporters this afternoon, Ancelotti refused to comment on which club the 26-year-old would be joining, but did admit that Di Maria could not be convinced to remain at the Bernabeu.

"The decision [to leave] was Di Maria's. The club did all they could to keep him. Di Maria has said goodbye and we thanked him for everything he has done for the club," he said.

Further rumours have suggested that Di Maria could arrive in Manchester for a medical as early as this evening.
