Chelsea have reportedly identified Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham as a potential addition during the summer transfer window.
Despite only turning 16 years of age in June, Bellingham has already made 28 appearances in the Championship, contributing four goals and two assists.
The emergence of the teenager has led to strong interest from the Premier League, including from Manchester United who are said to be ready to make a bid later in 2020.
However, The Sun claims that Chelsea are ready to rival United for the midfielder's signature as they look to add another English prospect to their ranks.
The report says that the Blues are prepared to propose a £50m deal, which would involve a guaranteed £35m plus a further £15m in add-ons.
With Bellingham having less than 18 months left on his contract, Birmingham are expected to agree to a sale before the beginning of the next campaign.
