Liverpool reportedly inform Borussia Dortmund that they wish to complete a deal for winger Jadon Sancho ahead of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool reportedly intend to rival Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Despite having a contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2022, Sancho is expected to be sold during the summer transfer window.

While the 19-year-old has previously represented Manchester City, it has been claimed that the youngster would like to join United.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool remain active in the battle to secure the signature of the England international.

The report says that the Merseyside giants have already made contact with Dortmund in a bid to open negotiations over a deal, likely to be worth in excess of £100m.

Liverpool are said to be hopeful of Jurgen Klopp's positive relationship with the Bundesliga side and Sancho's sponsorship with Nike benefiting their efforts to find a positive conclusion to talks.
