Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has reportedly agreed in principal a new five-year contract with the club.
Following loan spells with Leicester City, Watford and Wigan Athletic, the 23-year-old has established himself as a member of the United senior squad over the past two seasons.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been impressed with the England international's level of performance since then and is now keen to tie him to a long deal, according to Goal.com.
The report has also claimed that the news will be officially confirmed after Christmas, with both parties believed to be keen to get the festive period out of the way.
It has been said that Cleverley will be doubling his wages to around £60,000 per week.
