Freiburg coach Christian Steich insists that highly-rated midfielder Matthias Ginter will not be allowed to leave the club this summer.

Freiburg coach Christian Steich has strongly denied suggestions that Matthias Ginter will leave the German club at the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, who is regarded as one of the brightest attacking talents in Europe, has reportedly attracted the interest of Manchester United and Liverpool.

However, Steich told told Sport1 media: "There is no doubt he will be staying on.

"Matthias has a contract with our club, a long-term one. In addition, he is also of the same opinion.

"He is having the good sense to agree to this. We are definitely not letting anyone else make our very own decisions."

Ginter began his career at SV March.
