Manchester City and Arsenal reportedly send scouts to watch Benfica youngster Joao Felix, while Manchester United are also thought to be monitoring his progress.

Manchester City and Arsenal are reportedly ready to battle it out for the services of Benfica youngster Joao Felix.

The 18-year-old is yet to break into the first team at Benfica, but his performances for their 'B' side have reportedly drawn interest from a number of clubs around Europe.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claims that Premier League leaders Man City are among those interested, but could face competition from domestic rivals Arsenal.

The versatile attacker has scored four goals and registered two assists in his last four matches for Benfica B, with both Man City and Arsenal sending scouts to watch him last week.

Manchester United have also been credited with an interested in the winger, although the Red Devils have not yet sent representatives to watch him in the flesh.

Benfica are reluctant to lose one of their hottest prospects, though, and are understood to have included a €60m (£52.7m) release clause in his contract.
