Jose Mourinho blocks Sam Johnstone's Wolverhampton Wanderers loan move?

A report claims that Jose Mourinho rejected Wolverhampton Wanderers' approach for keeper Sam Johnstone due to their treatment of fellow loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly pulled the plug on Sam Johnstone's proposed loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers due to the club's treatment of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

The 23-year-old has been tipped with making a switch to Championship level for the remainder of the season to gain further playing time, most recently being linked with Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa.

According to The Telegraph, Wolves were the side most interested in taking the Englishman on board and made a formal approach for his services, but Mourinho rejected the emergency loan offer last Friday.

It is claimed that Mourinho and United are unhappy with Wolves over the lack of minutes afforded to defender Borthwick-Jackson so far this season, who boss Paul Lambert admits could be on his way back to Old Trafford in January.

Lambert, who is seeking a new keeper due to injuries picked up by Andy Lonergan and Carl Ikeme, has yet to play Borthwick-Jackson since taking charge of the second-tier outfit over a month ago.
