AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong has reportedly rejected the chance to return to his former club Ajax this summer.
The Netherlands international will be out of contract at the end of the season and it is widely thought that the 30-year-old will seek pastures new.
According to De Telegraaf, Ajax have made an approach for their former midfielder, who represented the Dutch club between 1993 and 2006.
However, the same report has claimed that the former Manchester City anchorman is not keen on a return to Amsterdam.
Manchester United are also said to be interested, with head coach Louis van Gaal a known admirer of De Jong.
