Report: Manchester United lead Daley Blind race

Manchester United are reportedly the current leading contenders to sign Ajax's versatile defender Daley Blind.

Manchester United are the reported favourites to sign Dutch international Daley Blind.

The 24-year-old's agent recently confirmed that there was a lot of interest in the Ajax defender in the wake of his performances at this summer's World Cup.

The likes of Arsenal, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are admirers of Blind, but it is Old Trafford that is his most likely destination at this present moment in time, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

It has been speculated that Blind's positive working relationship with new United boss Louis van Gaal from their time together with the Netherlands is a major factor behind his supposed desire to join United.

Blind, who has made over 150 appearances for club and country, was named the Dutch Footballer of the Year last season.
