Report: Manchester United want £40m Toni Kroos

A report claims that Real Madrid's World Cup-winning German midfielder Toni Kroos is a £40m transfer target for Manchester United.

Manchester United will reportedly launch a £40m move for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos this summer.

The German international is believed to have turned down interest from Old Trafford to join his current club from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014.

The 26-year-old has already made more than 80 first-team appearances for Los Blancos since arriving in Madrid, but a recent report claimed that the midfielder will be able to leave the Bernabeu this summer for the right price.

According to the Daily Star, that has attracted the attention of Man United, who are prepared to part with £40m to bring the World Cup winner to the Premier League.

Kroos has scored once in 31 appearances for Real Madrid this season.
