Louis van Gaal eyes Oscar de Marcos, Mikel San Jose?

A report claims that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal wants to bring Athletic Bilbao pair Oscar de Marcos and Mikel San Jose to the club this summer.

Louis van Gaal is reportedly preparing for another season at Manchester United and has set his sights on bringing Athletic Bilbao pair Oscar de Marcos and Mikel San Jose to Old Trafford.

Van Gaal still has more than one year left on his existing deal at Man United, but it is widely thought that Jose Mourinho will take control of first-team affairs at the end of the season.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the Dutchman, the experienced head coach is preparing for the new campaign and wants to sign Bilbao duo De Marcos and San Jose to boost his midfield options, according to Don Balon.

De Marcos, 26, who can operate in both defence and midfield, has been with Bilbao since 2009, making 280 appearances for the Spanish outfit.

San Jose, meanwhile, came through the youth system at Bilbao and returned to the Basque side in 2010 after an unsuccessful spell at Liverpool.
