Mexico boss Luis Fernando Tena has praised his side after they reached the final of the men's Olympic football competition.

The South American outfit recorded a 3-1 semi-final win over Japan to set up Saturday's clash with Brazil, and Tena has praised his players' efforts.

"The players have a new mentality. They want to play abroad now, they have no complexes and they want to succeed. I'm happy that we've been able to provoke such euphoria in such a soccer-mad country as ours," Tena told reporters.

Mexico have guaranteed themselves at least a silver medal by reaching the final.
