Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has shelved a decision on his future until the end of the season.
In October, the 51-year-old said that he could take a break from the game, citing the stress as his reason for needing a sabbatical.
Mazzarri's current deal expires in June, but he said that any negotiations regarding an extension will have to wait.
"The club want to renew our agreement, but I would prefer to calmly make a decision at the end of the season," Football Italia quotes Mazzarri as saying.
"I have a splendid relationship with the club, but now is the time to think about our targets on the pitch. I'm giving my best."
Mazzarri guided Partenopei to Coppa Italia glory last year.
