Napoli have reportedly set their sights on clinching former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo.
The 42-year-old has been out of work for two days after getting sacked from Stamford Bridge following the Blues' 3-0 defeat to Juventus, which gives the side an uphill struggle to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
It is understood that the Italian outfit are keen to replace current boss Walter Mazzarri with Di Matteo following chairman Aurelio De Laurentis's rift with the coach, according to the Daily Star.
Meanwhile, Di Matteo's successor Rafael Benitez will have his first test as Chelsea boss when his side take on Manchester City on Sunday.
