Alan Pardew praises Brendan Rogers and calls for more Premier League bosses like him.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has called for more homegrown bosses in the Premier League.

The Magpies gaffer praised his Swansea City counterpart Brendan Rogers, and said that other British coaches should be given a chance at the highest level.

"Brendan was my youth team coach at Reading and I know him very, very well," he told Sky Sports News.

"He's always had a very clear vision of how the game should be played and he's stuck to his principles and I admire him very much for that.

"Young coaches should be promoted, but in this country it goes the other way."

Newcastle and Swansea will go head-to-head at Liberty Stadium in tomorrow's Premier League clash.
