Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has revealed that his squad's injury problems make January transfers a possibility.
The Magpies have recently lost Hatem Ben Arfa, Yohan Cabaye and Shola Ameobi to injury.
Pardew has admitted that his side are struggling to cope with the lack of options, meaning that strengthening in the transfer window is likely.
When asked if his transfer plans have changed, Pardew said: "It has increased the discussion.
"We had an idea where it was going to go. It might change before we get there."
Newcastle are hoping to end their poor run of form when they face Wigan Athletic on Monday night.
