Half-Time Report: Dean Gerken keeps Nottingham Forest at bay

Ipswich Town reach the half-time break with Nottingham Forest at 0-0 thanks to a number of saves from Dean Gerken.

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Dean Gerken has made a series of saves to keep out Nottingham Forest in the first half at the City Ground as the game remains locked at 0-0.

Ryan Mendes was handed the first chance of the game as he was played in on goal by Jonny Williams, but the winger dragged his shot wide of the far post.

The visitors were then forced into an early change as Jonathan Parr replaced the injured Jonas Knudsen at left-back.

They had Gerken to thank shortly after as the goalkeeper palmed away Liam Trotter's shot before getting to his feet to deny Jamie Ward's follow-up effort.

Gerken was on hand again to thwart Nelson Oliviera after the forward had got in behind the Ipswich defence 10 minutes before the break.
