Blaise Matuidi has insisted that he is 'completely focused' on Paris Saint-Germain after being strongly linked with a move to Juventus in the summer transfer window.
At one point, it did appear that the Frenchman was on the verge of joining Juve as a replacement for Paul Pogba, but PSG boss Unai Emery did not allow the central midfielder to leave.
Matuidi has said that he is "very happy" to have stayed in Paris and is only interested in helping the French giants enjoy a successful 2016-17 campaign.
"Yes, I'm very happy [to have stayed]," he told Le Parisien. "I am very happy and I think it shows on the field. I take pleasure [from being here] and I have no regrets today. That belongs to the past, it's behind me. I'm focused and completely with PSG."
Matuidi, 29, joined PSG from Saint-Etienne in 2011 and has won four league titles with the capital club.
