Harry Redknapp becomes the early favourite to replace Mark Hughes as manager of Queens Park Rangers.

Harry Redknapp has emerged as the favourite to become the new Queens Park Rangers manager following the sacking of Mark Hughes on Friday morning.

The R's board have made the decision to dismiss Hughes following the team's disappointing start to the Premier League season.

Redknapp has been out of work since leaving Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season and has recently been reported to be a possible candidate to become manager of the Ukraine national team.

In the past, the 65-year-old has refused to comment on rumours linking him with QPR but his views could change now due to the vacancy left by Hughes.

QPR are without a win in 12 league games this season.
