Queens Park Rangers winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has no intention of leaving Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has insisted that his future lies with the Championship club.

Wright-Phillips signed a four-year contract with the Hoops in 2011, but had a frustrating campaign cut short by injury last season.

The 31-year-old believes that he owes QPR a debt of gratitude for sticking by him through his injury problems, and has no intention of moving away from West London before his deal expires.

He told Sky Sports News: "When I got injured, everyone stuck by me so I am not about to go anywhere anytime soon.

"I signed a contract and I want to fulfil it. I played in pre-season but it [ankle] just gets a bit angry every now and again after training," said Wright-Phillips.

"I played with worse last year so I should be able to [play against Wednesday]."

Hoops boss Harry Redknapp is not expected to name Wright-Phillips in his squad for tomorrow's Championship opener against Sheffield Wednesday at home.
