Rangers will reportedly complete the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion defender Connor Goldson within the next couple of days.
The two clubs are said to have reached a £3m agreement for the 25-year-old centre-back, who is now finalising terms on a three-year deal.
According to the Evening Times, the Gers' fifth arrival of the Steven Gerrard era will be formally announced before the end of Wednesday.
Gerrard has already moved to bring in free agents Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor this summer, while Jamie Murphy turned his loan into a permanent deal and Ovie Ejaria has arrived on a temporary basis from Liverpool.
Rangers are due to return to training at the end of the week, before setting off for a 10-day training camp.
