Reading manager Brian McDermott has admitted that his side are going through a strange run on their return to the Premier League.
The Royals are without a win in 10 league matches and recorded a sixth draw of the season in a goalless stalemate with Norwich City this afternoon.
McDermott insisted that he was pleased with his team's display and happy to finally register a clean sheet.
He told BBC Sport: "We could have nicked it. First half both sides were a little bit nervous, and we could have done a little bit more with the ball.
"But we've struggled to keep a clean sheet this season, so psychologically that is important. It's just a shame we couldn't win the game, and we've drawn six in 10. It's a funny time for us."
The point against Norwich is not enough to lift Reading out of the relegation zone.
