Real Madrid assistant Zinedine Zidane has revealed his delight after his son Enzo was called up to the France Under-19s squad for the first time.
Enzo Zidane, 18, is currently part of the youth team set-up at Real Madrid and has been tipped to make the breakthrough at the Spanish club in the future.
The youngster, who was born in France, received a call-up to the Spanish Under-15 side in 2009 after qualifying for citizenship, but has chosen to represent Les Bleus at youth level.
"I am proud that he can wear the French jersey for the first time. He wanted it and he deserves it. It is not only because he is called Zidane but [because] he does beautiful things on the pitch," Zidane senior told RMC.
"In any case, he is delighted to be picked and I am as proud as my dad was with my first selection."
Enzo, who is also known as Enzo Fernandez, is still eligible to represent Spain in the future.
