Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Valladolid

Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Real Valladolid on Saturday evening.

Real Madrid will endeavour to keep the pressure on La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid when they travel to Real Valladolid on Saturday evening.

Zinedine Zidane's men secured their third top-flight victory on the bounce on Sunday as they overcame Valencia 2-0, with Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos netting for the second-placed Blancos.

However, Real Madrid are having to deal with a plethora of absentees at present, and their seemingly never-ending injury problems worsened during Sunday's triumph.

With that in mind, Sports Mole rounds up all of Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's game against Valladolid.

Rodrygo Goes

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Highly-rated winger Rodrygo Goes was forced off on a stretcher against Granada in December with a thigh problem, and while he is training indoors, he is still unavailable for selection.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: February 20 (vs. Valladolid)

Dani Carvajal returned to the starting lineup against Valencia but lasted just 28 minutes before going off injured again. It remains to be seen how serious the problem is this time, but Zidane has admitted that he is concerned about the right-back's fitness.

Sergio Ramos

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Sergio Ramos's contract talks are grabbing all the headlines, but the veteran defender has also gone under the knife to address a knee problem, and he is set for a couple of months on the sidelines.

Federico Valverde

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Federico Valverde continues to recover from a muscular problem and participated in indoor training before the Valencia game, but he is still not ready for a return to action.

Eden Hazard

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Eden Hazard did take part in some outdoor training before the Valencia game, but Sunday's win was too early for him to make his return from a muscular problem, and he is expected to miss the trip to Valladolid too.

Marcelo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Veteran left-back Marcelo had to come off with an ankle problem in the midweek win over Getafe, and recent reports have speculated that the Brazilian could now be out of action for three weeks.

Alvaro Odriozola

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: February 20 (vs. Valladolid)

Marcelo's fellow full-back Alvaro Odriozola had to be withdrawn against Huesca on February 6, and he did not take part in any on-the-pitch training prior to the Valencia win, so a comeback this weekend seems unlikely.

Eder Militao

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: February 20 (vs. Valladolid)

Eder Militao completes Real Madrid's long list of absentees as he nurses an unspecified injury. The Brazilian defender was nowhere to be seen against Valladolid and his involvement this weekend is uncertain.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no players suspended for this game.
