Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace are level at the break in their Championship clash at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday and Crystal Palace are level at the break in their Championship clash at Hillsborough.

Despite Palace's good run of form it was Wednesday who came out the blocks faster and David Prutton was unlucky to see his volley from Danny Pugh's cross go just over the bar.

The Owls kept up the pressure as Leroy Lita found space and fired an effort at goal but Palace keeper Julian Speroni was on hand to make the save.

Palace had a great chance to take the lead just before the break as Stephen Dobbie found space on the edge of the area but his goalbound shots were blocked by the Owls defence and his own teammate Glenn Murray.
