Mauricio Pochettino "very disappointed" by Leicester City defeat

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino admits that he is "very disappointed" in his players after they suffer a late defeat to Leicester in the FA Cup fourth round.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he is "very disappointed" by his side's defeat at home to Leicester City in the FA Cup.

Spurs were knocked out in the fourth round of the competition on Saturday as two late goals saw Leicester clinch a 2-1 win at White Hart Lane.

Pochettino believes that his players should have been able to see out the match instead of allowing Leicester to turn it around.

"We made two mistakes at the end of the game and we paid by now being out of the FA Cup," the Argentine is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"The game was always under our control. We scored in the first half and created chances to add to it. It is football. We can make a mistake but I am very disappointed because I think we expect to be through to the next round. So I'm not happy."

Tottenham are back in action on Wednesday when they will look to defend a narrow first-leg lead away to Sheffield United in the Capital One Cup semi-finals.
