Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has claimed that some players at the club will be playing for their futures in the coming weeks.
Sherwood was fiercely critical of his team on Saturday in the wake of their 4-0 defeat at Chelsea in the Premier League.
The 45-year-old has now warned members of the Spurs squad that they must improve their performances on the pitch or risk being sold at the end of the season.
"I'm just going to shoot from the hip. I'm a manager, not a babysitter," he told reporters on Wednesday. "A lot here are playing for their future and they realise that now."
Spurs return to action on Thursday night when they entertain Benfica in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
