Burnley manager Sean Dyche has confirmed that there is a deal in progress with Tottenham Hotspur for defender Kieran Trippier.
The 24-year-old has been linked with Spurs and Aston Villa after impressing for the Clarets in the Premier League last season.
Reports had suggested that Spurs had made a formal approach for the right-back, and Dyche has now confirmed that this is the case.
Burnley wrote on their Twitter page: "Sean Dyche confirms reports that @trippier2's proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur is an "active deal"."
Trippier has made 185 appearances for Burnley after joining them from Manchester City in 2011.
